"I absolutely loved the place! I came together with my friend with intention to relax and chill. The place was super cozy, relaxing and in a lovely calm area. When we came in november, there were still some wedding decoration left on the staircase (from the owners sons wedding the month before), and as a future bride myself I felt enchanted! I was not impressed with the fact that I was asked to pay additional fees charged by the host on checking my booking these fees were not added to my original booking at the time of booking the property. The host explained that these are the fees chargred by booking.com to her which I suspect is passed on.

Nothing wrong with the bungalow, a bit noisy at night, dogs cats. Fully understand can’t be helped

"Good Wifi. The property was large, with three upstairs bedrooms, two bathrooms, downstairs kitchen and sitting areas as shown on Booking.Com. There was a parking space allocated for guests on the road."

When we arrived there was no heating. This was turned on virtually after we contacted the host, but then stopped working. This did not warm the property which is a big space and all tiled floors. There was also no hot water. The gateman was sent to fix the water but we had to call the host to get him back 3 times, as it was still not working. The gateman then said he was going to sleep and walked out on us leaving us with no hot water. We were told to wait 30 min and there would be hot water but we had no hot water in the evening or early morning. By 10.30 there was luke warm water. We used kettles of warm water to shower. We slept in our thermals, clothes plus gloves/scarves . The place is very poorly maintained with many fixtures broken, the property was also dirty especially the kitchen. There were only 4 mugs, one chipped and one with a hole in the side. Plates were covered in food and not washed. The cutlery was very dirty. No lights worked over the dining room table. Only one hand wash in the downstairs toilet, and one shampoo between the two bathrooms upstairs, the listing stated toiletries provided. Towels were dirty and stained, plus holes on bedding, chairs, and pillow cases. This is the worst place we have ever stayed at and IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A WINTER STAY. No fire lighter was left. The owner is virtual and sends a gateman so I am not sure the owner is aware of the state of the property. We reached out upon returning to the UK via Booking.com to put in a complaint and Booking.com confirmed the host wold not provide any compensation instead Booking.com apologised on behalf of the property.

"We loved this place - set out in the middle of the rain forest with little other than toucans, howler monkeys, bats and agouti for company. I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs."

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

"Great house, in good location. Breakfast delivery service is clever and helpful as it's all nicely packed you can take it with you to eat later if you're like us and like to be on slopes early."

Road to the house is absolutely ridiculous! It should not be allowed to host anyone in houses or hotels with road like this. There are building works happening too,with new houses coming up yet the road is AWFUL! For that specific reason 8/10 not 10/10. Also Garden is not secure so letting dog out is not simple.

Only two towels, which appeared quite stained. Could do with some wine glasses. Maybe a deeper clean of walls and floors, but still felt clean, just not spotless.

Lugar maravilhoso, no meio da natureza, perto da linda praia da Abelha (dá para ir a pé) e à porta da reserva natural Obo (reseva da biosfera - Unesco) e perto da cascata O qué Pipi. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Lucindo e pela Mari, hospitalidade e cuidado incrivel. Pequeno-almoço e jantar incrível, preparado pela Mari."

Estrada de acesso um pouco difícil, mas tudo se resolve no paraíso da ilha do Príncipe.

"This is an exceptional place to stay. The attention to detail, the artistic touches, make you feel that you're not just renting a room, but that you are experiencing something really special. The hosts are some of the nicest people around, always ready with hot coffee in the morning, a delicious breakfast and the yummiest dinners. This is a personal preference, but we found the pillows quite hard. But honestly, when you wake up in a tree house, the pillow thing is really a tiny issue, which gets forgotten about the moment you open your eyes, and you see the gorgeous waterfall on the property, the resident squirrel and the 2 dogs Bobby and Ania ❤️

"Really comfy, tidy, well equipped place. The hosts were very friendly, they even contacted us with a neighbor of them who gave us a (paid) tour to different destinations. The supermarket around the corner was very handy, it helped us reducing costs during the trip. On the other hand, we used public transportation, but I would suggest to rent a car if you are a group of 3 or 4. We had a really good stay, so we highly recommend Casa Chiquito :)"

Nothing, everything was fine. Just for the sake of continuous improvement, it’d be good if the draining of the shower could be improved but I can imagine it is significant work (it is certainly not critical at all, though).

"Rooms were spacious, great hot water and comfy bed. The area was close to everything but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Rooms were also sound proof. Darrin was very helpful, he recommended and booked us on a great hiking tour which I can highly recommend."

Das einzige was es zu bemängeln gab, das keine Handtücher vorhanden waren. Es gab kein Hinweis das diese nicht mit inbegriffen ist bzw diese gegen Aufpreis erhältlich sind. Leider war es auch etwas staubig und einiges an vorhandene Geschirr sehr klebrig. Dafür gibt's es aber Hände was somit schnell behoben werden könnte. Das ist aber Kritisieren auf hohem Niveau......Wie gesagt es sind wirklich nur Kleinigkeiten. Dennoch würde diese Unterkunft jeden empfehlen.👍🙂
