"The owners are very friendly - they even celebrated New Year night with us. The property is very green and beautiful, and there is parking available inside the yard. The room is very large and spacious, and you can go swimming right outside your door. Snorkeling is great, especially near the shipwreck. There is a kayak, which my husband used to go fishing. Laundry service is available upon request. We were pleasantly surprised to find delicious bananas waiting for us in the room. I highly recommend staying here - you won’t regret it!"

Die Auffahrt zum Haus ist sehr steil, wir empfehlen einen Automatikwagen, den man auf Martinique unserer Meinung nach aber sowieso mieten sollte. Das WLAN funktioniert leider nicht in allen Räumen, vielleicht könnte hier ein Repeater installiert werden.

"The view, the house and the sea is unimaginably beautiful. The stairs take you down directly into the sea, and its swimming distance to many of the beaches around. The host is great and it' s easy to communicate. There is wifi, a big plus. Honestly, it's a dream to stay here, it's quiet and calm, relaxing with hammocks and shaded areas, easy to cook together and enjoy."

The road to the house is more of a gravel path most of the time, with a few steep sides.. its really beautiful, also a bit frightening to walk down at first, especially when carrying luggage and bringing kids and so. However, you get really used to it after some trips to the restaurants and small shops. Power outage was rather common mid-day during our stay, maybe it's different during high season. This is just the way it is in this area, and has nothing to do with the house or the host, it's just something to be mindful of. Bring a powerbank 😀

"The room was large and spacious. Very comfortable beds and a well appointed bathroom. A seating area was a welcome extra. Breakfast was excellent -with a glass of Istenic sparkling! The garden attached to the winery is a really peaceful setting for a morning’s (or more) relaxation over coffee and more sparkling wine. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. Thank you to them."

Only downside is the location that means restaurants are a short drive away - even the closest (about 1km) is a drive because of the fast narrow road without pavement. The main town of Brezice is worth visiting though for its restaurants, cafes, castle and water tower.

Para o melhor, mas também para o pior, Port Glaud é um dos locais mais remotos da ilha de Mahé. Há que fazer um trajecto de mais de 30 minutos por uma estrada sinuosa que sobe e desce a montanha a partir de Victória. O acesso ao mar é fácil, mas não há um grande número de praias banháveis em redor, ou que sejam de fácil acesso. As que há têm o acesso condicionado pelos resorts maiores, ou estão, em grande parte, ocupadas pelas espreguiçadeiras destes. A excepção é a praia de Port Launay, maravilhosa e suficientemente ampla e acessível para comportar a presença de todos os outros que não apenas os hóspedes do resort. É reduzida a oferta de restaurantes (o Delplace é excelente) e os dos resorts não estão, por regra, abertos ao público. Da casa, os únicos pontos negativos a registar será a falta de alguns utensilios de cozinha (não essenciais, mas que seria agradável ter, como um espremedor de citrinos, por exemplo, ou uma tesoura que cortasse) e a iluminação, de luzes muito brancas (todas elas, até no quarto), mal posicionadas e mesmo "agressivas" (como no caso da cozinha). Trata-se, no entanto, e pelo que pudemos constatar, de uma constante na ilha. O acesso à internet também é pouco fiável, mas não por qualquer deficiência na infraestrutura da casa.

"The host was friendly and accommodative. She kept checking on us if we needed anything. She was grieving personal loss at the time of our stay but she found ways to tend to our needs and comfort. We will come back to her property for sure."

"We absolutely loved everything about this property. Amazingly wonderful villa, Lilou our villa host was also great and very helpful. Celine the property owner had left us a welcome platter of different French cheese’s which were delish and a bottle of red and white wine along with a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread."

The property was perfect inside and out and nothing to dislike.

You can watch the sunset over the river and enjoy the laid-back vibe. The staff, especially Tom, were amazing! 🤩 I was feeling pretty sick, but Tom went above and beyond, providing me with electrolytes and making sure I was comfortable. His kindness and care made a huge difference. Overall, I'd give Ban Lakkham River View Hotel 5/5 stars for location and staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again! 🏨💕"

"Wir waren bereits zum zweiten mal in diesem Haus. Diesesmal hat uns die Sauberkeit sehr positiv überrascht. Es war sehr ordentlich, die Betten alle bezogen, alles hat gut gerochen und war sehr einladend. Hier und da etwas Dekoration war super schön und hat dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder."
