The room was small

"I had a great stay at Tulip Hotel. Room 105 was cozy, clean, spacious, and bright. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room was very clean and nice , and everything felt well maintained. I also really liked the stylish and cozy bar area. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtfully done. You can clearly see the creative ideas behind the concept, all focused on making guests feel comfortable. The team work of the staff is impressive. Service is smooth and professional. The food is delicious, breakfasts and lunch were excellent. The spa area is another highlight, especially the hammam and the pool with refreshing ice cold water.Wonderful! Overall, a very comfortable and welcoming hotel that fully deserves a high rating. I would definitely stay here again."

The only downside is the soundproofing. You can hear what is happening in the hallway, especially when guests check in or out or use the shower nearby. The room 105 could benefit from better noise insulation.

"First of all, the Lodge is absolutely beautiful. We loved the architecture and attention to detail in every corner. The service was excellent, and the staff were very warm and welcoming, especially Allan who made us feel truly cared for. O quarto era super confortável, a rede mosquiteira estava intacta (sendo que os empregados vinham todas as noites fechá-la e meter repelente no quarto). A comida era fenomenal, havia bastantes opções. Nós incluímos apenas o pequeno almoço na nossa estadia mas decidimos jantar dois dias no hotel e não nos arrependemos nada, a comida era fantástica e a oferta distinta. O staff é genuinamente espetacular e da próxima vez que voltar a Zanzibar ficarei aqui!"

"All in all the service provided by the hotel during my 3 night stay was amazing. All the services requires are available and event it is more convenient with the additional hospitality provided by our host of the meeting PNG Customs."

The only challenge I encounter which requires some improvement is the internet connectivity especially the WFI coverage and connectivity which at times it is very weak while in the room. Otherwise everything else provided by the hotel is exceptionally outstanding.

The area is absolutely manic, the actual car park entrance was difficult to find, bar very limited, staff on bar seemed disinterested until we paid the bill and gave a tip which cheered her up.

Construction/renovations going on (some days loud). There was a huge cockroach in my room. These were both minor inconveniences for me, the rest of the stay was phenomenal.

"Stayed in the deluxe Junior Suite. They have renovated the place and now rooms look nice. We were leaving early and they packed us quite a good breakfast. Staff were friendly and responsive."

There isn’t anything to dislike

"A minha estadia foi muito positiva. Gostaria de destacar o Tiago e a Daniela, da recepção, que foram excecionais, sempre muito simpáticos, profissionais e prestativos. Toda a equipa do hotel demonstrou grande atenção e disponibilidade ao longo da estadia. O quarto era grande, confortável e muito agradável. O pequeno-almoço é excelente, com muita variedade e comida de ótima qualidade. Como ponto menos positivo, nota-se algum barulho nos arredores, sendo possível ouvir ruídos exteriores a partir do quarto, sobretudo à noite, devido a festas nas proximidades, o que pode dificultar o descanso. Ainda assim, é um bom hotel, com ótimo serviço e uma equipa que faz a diferença."

1 - A praia esteve demasiado ventosa e o mar demasiado revolto e turvo; pode ter sido pontual, mas ficámos desapontados face à expectativa. 2 - Não existem elevadores, o que torna a experiência mais difícil para pessoas séniores ou com crianças pequenas.

"I have enjoyed staying at The Diplomat for decades. This is hotel life as it should be, which is probably why I keep going back. I enjoy a quiet meal with my family by the pool and do like to indulge in delicious food from all over the world. The staff are always friendly and extremely polite."
