"O hotel é lindo. Muito boa insonorização dos quartos Os funcionários muito simpáticos e disponíveis para explicarem tudo, para fazerem reservas de atividades. Pequeno almoço muito bom e com horário alargado ao fim de semana. Muito perto de transportes e de restaurantes e bares.Zona muito boa."

Apenas do ar condicionado não ser controlado no interior do quarto, faz com que fizesse muito calor durante a noite.

We did not know that we should climd a lot of stairs in order to reach the restaurant. It was difficult for our parents.

"Traditional hotel with very relaxed atmosphere. Family owned and staff who were absolutely lovely. Funny, friendly and helpful. Quite quirky with a definite African ambience. Not trying to be too perfect!! Close to the beach in a quiet area. Super pool with stress free feeling as quite shallow and never busy. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and visited regularly by cheeky monkeys."

A lack of written information describing amenities. Mosquitos can be a problem if you normally suffer after being bitten.

"Tudo! O hotel é espetacular, desde o staff às instalações! Realmente não entendemos o porquê das críticas negativas deste hotel. O quarto era super confortável, a rede mosquiteira estava intacta (sendo que os empregados vinham todas as noites fechá-la e meter repelente no quarto). A comida era fenomenal, havia bastantes opções. Nós incluímos apenas o pequeno almoço na nossa estadia mas decidimos jantar dois dias no hotel e não nos arrependemos nada, a comida era fantástica e a oferta distinta. O staff é genuinamente espetacular e da próxima vez que voltar a Zanzibar ficarei aqui!"

"The room was spacious, clean and had a huge comfortable bed. The room also had amazing views of the sea, and islet de Gosier as well a cool terrace. Coffee facilities and air conditioning in the room. I loved the open air lounge/dining area too - very unique - the art exhibition added glamour! Then the private beach and pool was also a treat."

The beach area tables and lounges needs to be cleaned more regularly.

Very small rooms, food options r limited and very expensive, exchange rate at reception is very poor, toiletries in room is very limited, not easy to find a taxi, no mini markets/shops around.

"A prontidão que sempre tiveram para atender os clientes, se lhes solicitas algo rapidamente o fazem, atenção que dão aos clientes, houve uma situação em particular que me fez realmente ficar ainda mais surpreendido com o hotel e as pessoas que lá trabalham, 1 dia depois da minha chegada era meu aniversário, fizeram questão de me levar um bolo e deixar no quarto, escrito parabéns e com o prato todo decorado, são poucos os lugares que fazem questão de ter esse trabalho!!"

"Excellent location just above a lovely secluded beach. Quiet area. Well equipped kitchen facilities. Quirky small reception area with helpful staff. Some rooms w balconies with seaview. Excellent small restaurants close by. Polite unobtrusive cats."

Great room and fabulous views of the bay. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the boats going up and down the bay.

"All in all the service provided by the hotel during my 3 night stay was amazing. All the services requires are available and event it is more convenient with the additional hospitality provided by our host of the meeting PNG Customs."

The only challenge I encounter which requires some improvement is the internet connectivity especially the WFI coverage and connectivity which at times it is very weak while in the room. Otherwise everything else provided by the hotel is exceptionally outstanding.

"The staff and managers were very kind and polite. The rooms and lobby is very clean. The WiFi was full free, but sometimes in some pleases signal was weak. The 24 hours drinking coffee , tea, cakes in lobby if very fantastic. U can use them free during 24 hours."

"Comfortable stay with excellent air conditioning We had a pleasant stay at Rung. One thing that really stood out was the air conditioning — it worked perfectly and stayed consistent, which makes a big difference in the heat. The bed is also big and comfortable, making it easy to rest well."

The bathroom could use an upgrade, as it feels a bit outdated compared to the rest of the room. Aside from that, everything was comfortable and worked well for our stay.

"The room and around fit to the explanation and pictures. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We came in October when season is over. The owner cook a dinner for us. It was quite expensive (30 euro par person taking a fish, 15 - with no fish), but tasty. Wine was exceptional. It was better then drive in the dark to the restaurant and back (the road is not easy even during the daylight). Adrian made the welcome. Very nice guy with good English. The owner, Vasko (sorry if a spell the name wrongly) is very nice guy. Able to speak Russian. Show us the winery. The wine is exceptional. Very quite place. The views are stunning."

The only one thing was not OK - in one of the rooms (we took 2) water in the shower drains poorly - floor was full of water.
