"Pros: Great location - a little bit outside the very noisy city centre. Minibus #40 stops right in front of the apartment building and takes you down to Stabroek Market for 100 GD ≈50 US cents. It's managed by a super friendly and helpful Cuban family. They even took us to the airport for a much better price than the taxi companies. The apartment was clean and comfortable. 2 Lazy boys with coffee table, breakfast table with chairs, large balcony, small bedroom without windows but good Aircon. Hot water in the shower took a while to come through. Cons: Kitchen was only equipped with a microwave and kettle, so you can't really cook in there. Restaurants and food are expensive in Georgetown compared to all other South American countries. And the whole building wobbles every half an hour. It's built on sand and trucks on the main street cause vibrations. Feels like a little earthquake and might be the same with other buildings in town too. We were on the 2nd floor, no lift."
