"Good Wifi. The property was large, with three upstairs bedrooms, two bathrooms, downstairs kitchen and sitting areas as shown on Booking.Com. There was a parking space allocated for guests on the road."

When we arrived there was no heating. This was turned on virtually after we contacted the host, but then stopped working. This did not warm the property which is a big space and all tiled floors. There was also no hot water. The gateman was sent to fix the water but we had to call the host to get him back 3 times, as it was still not working. The gateman then said he was going to sleep and walked out on us leaving us with no hot water. We were told to wait 30 min and there would be hot water but we had no hot water in the evening or early morning. By 10.30 there was luke warm water. We used kettles of warm water to shower. We slept in our thermals, clothes plus gloves/scarves . The place is very poorly maintained with many fixtures broken, the property was also dirty especially the kitchen. There were only 4 mugs, one chipped and one with a hole in the side. Plates were covered in food and not washed. The cutlery was very dirty. No lights worked over the dining room table. Only one hand wash in the downstairs toilet, and one shampoo between the two bathrooms upstairs, the listing stated toiletries provided. Towels were dirty and stained, plus holes on bedding, chairs, and pillow cases. This is the worst place we have ever stayed at and IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A WINTER STAY. No fire lighter was left. The owner is virtual and sends a gateman so I am not sure the owner is aware of the state of the property. We reached out upon returning to the UK via Booking.com to put in a complaint and Booking.com confirmed the host wold not provide any compensation instead Booking.com apologised on behalf of the property.

"Really comfy, tidy, well equipped place. The hosts were very friendly, they even contacted us with a neighbor of them who gave us a (paid) tour to different destinations. The supermarket around the corner was very handy, it helped us reducing costs during the trip. On the other hand, we used public transportation, but I would suggest to rent a car if you are a group of 3 or 4. We had a really good stay, so we highly recommend Casa Chiquito :)"

Nothing, everything was fine. Just for the sake of continuous improvement, it’d be good if the draining of the shower could be improved but I can imagine it is significant work (it is certainly not critical at all, though).

Such a beautiful colourful - African Style accommodation. delicious breakfast, clean room and a beautiful exotic garden. The all the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. A szárító tiszta rozsda volt, nem tudtam, vagyis nem akartam arra kiteregetni. Egyetlen éles kést sem találtunk, amivel a pékárut elvághattuk volna. A konyhai/nappali rész tele volt szúnyogokkal kora este, amikor megérkeztünk, így, aludni ott nem tudtunk (de az alvás a régi hűtő folyamatosan búgó hangjától is lehetetlen lett volna.) Úgy gondolom, hogy az apartman árához képest ezek olyan apró dolgok, amikre lehetne figyelni.

This is a personal preference, but we found the pillows quite hard. But honestly, when you wake up in a tree house, the pillow thing is really a tiny issue, which gets forgotten about the moment you open your eyes, and you see the gorgeous waterfall on the property, the resident squirrel and the 2 dogs Bobby and Ania ❤️

Não gostámos de terescolhido tão poucos dias... vamos voltar! Sodade de Cesária Évora é a palavra que define a experiência em Santo Antão.

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

Well weather wasn't in our favor those days, but even that didn't ruin our holiday. We stayed inside , next to fireplace, watching rain/snow outside :)

Lugar maravilhoso, no meio da natureza, perto da linda praia da Abelha (dá para ir a pé) e à porta da reserva natural Obo (reseva da biosfera - Unesco) e perto da cascata O qué Pipi. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Lucindo e pela Mari, hospitalidade e cuidado incrivel. Pequeno-almoço e jantar incrível, preparado pela Mari."

Estrada de acesso um pouco difícil, mas tudo se resolve no paraíso da ilha do Príncipe.
