"Gostamos de tudo, a casa era acolhedora e em dezembro estava neve, entrar em casa e estar quentinho foi ótimo. O pequeno almoço também era bom, mas podia ter algum bolo caseiro. O acesso a pé é possível, mas está muito próximo do centro e deslocar em Bolt foi econômico. Toda a atmosfera envolvente é um sonho. Recomendo 100%"

"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . "Very cozy place owned by an incredibly friendly and welcoming family. Breakfast was included in the price and it was always absolutely delicious — thanks to them, I had the chance to try several traditional Sri Lankan dishes I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Whenever I needed anything, they were quick to help and always took care of everything with a smile. Their hospitality truly made my stay feel special and comfortable. Thank you once again for such a warm and memorable experience!"

The place is located a bit farther from the main areas, so you’ll need to walk a few kilometers, take a tuk-tuk, or have your own vehicle. However, there is a small convenience shop right next to the accommodation, which is handy if you need anything. If you’re sensitive to noise at night, it might be an issue — though that’s quite common for most hostels and village houses in Sri Lanka.

"Location near the sea and grocery store. Found also a home bakery nearby. Beautiful, a bit rustic town under pine trees. Sandy beach and lot of quiet streets to discover. Appartment was warm, nice, and had all the basic things. Lovely yard."

There was no bed sheet for the second bed (sofa), and when we opened the sofa, there was sand from the previous visitors. The hosts reacted to our request and it was cleaned. Some other tiny issues - only 2 mugs in the cupboard (4 glasses), and the 3rd cup was found on the floor of shower room. We missed washing up liquid and kitchen towels too.

He really takes care of his guests in every way and makes sure, you‘re always taken good care of. I can also recommend this place as very safe for solo female travelers. Dreadful road with huge potholes in the road to the units. Not Access fault.

"On arrival 'Grandad' greeted us with a smile and a cup of 'ginger tea' 😊 The location is peaceful and on the edge of the forest. Only 15mins walking to seven eleven, shops, etc. The room was comfy and clean. Good value too. Bed was super comfy soft to firm! Easy to safely store our bicycles 🚴🚴 A great place to visit and Grandad may also show you around his collection of antiques. HIGHLY recommended 👌"

"Perfect location for visiting petra, the host is a very nice gentleman, he gave us a good tour through the apartment and explained everything necessary. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the portable heaters will make up for that. Its a large place."

"Very nice hotel, it was very clean and comfortable. The tiny balcony was a plus for me and the people where so nice and friendly."

The location was not perfect for me, I ended up renting a scooter which I highly recommend.

"We liked everything! This can not be described by words. One must come and see the exceptionally beautiful nature of Mariovo, this village Zovich and the nearby village Staravina. The accomodation offered everything we needed, the host Mitko, his wife and mother were very friendly and helpful, they make extraordinary food in their restaurant, all fresh and of high quality. We will be back again!"

"La estancia fue simplemente maravillosa. El apartamento lo tiene todo y más. Está cerca de todo para visitar la preciosa ciudad de Zaragoza. Por la noche es tranquilo y se duerme muy bien. Pero por la mañana, no hay nada mejor que desayunar en la terraza, que tiene una vista única de la ciudad."
