Para o melhor, mas também para o pior, Port Glaud é um dos locais mais remotos da ilha de Mahé. Há que fazer um trajecto de mais de 30 minutos por uma estrada sinuosa que sobe e desce a montanha a partir de Victória. O acesso ao mar é fácil, mas não há um grande número de praias banháveis em redor, ou que sejam de fácil acesso. As que há têm o acesso condicionado pelos resorts maiores, ou estão, em grande parte, ocupadas pelas espreguiçadeiras destes. A excepção é a praia de Port Launay, maravilhosa e suficientemente ampla e acessível para comportar a presença de todos os outros que não apenas os hóspedes do resort. É reduzida a oferta de restaurantes (o Delplace é excelente) e os dos resorts não estão, por regra, abertos ao público. Da casa, os únicos pontos negativos a registar será a falta de alguns utensilios de cozinha (não essenciais, mas que seria agradável ter, como um espremedor de citrinos, por exemplo, ou uma tesoura que cortasse) e a iluminação, de luzes muito brancas (todas elas, até no quarto), mal posicionadas e mesmo "agressivas" (como no caso da cozinha). Trata-se, no entanto, e pelo que pudemos constatar, de uma constante na ilha. O acesso à internet também é pouco fiável, mas não por qualquer deficiência na infraestrutura da casa.

"L’accueil de notre hôte, son professionnalisme et sa disponibilité pour répondre à nos demandes pendant notre séjour . La conception architecturale de la maison qui en fait un lieu d’exception dans tous ses aménagements et principalement la piscine à débordement de grande taille avec une vue sur l’océan indien . Le calme et la sérénité du lieu : la musique de l’océan , le chant des oiseaux et du vent … un coucher de soleil tous les soirs sur l’océan : de la piscine , du salon , de la cuisine et de notre chambre , du jardin …. Une vue panoramique à 180 degrés !!! L’emplacement géographique dans le quartier de l’hermitage : accès direct au lagon et proximité à pied de Saint-Gilles ."

"The Uncle and Aunty were very helpful and friendly. Upon receiving they have explained everything in clear words. Everything is written with clear instruction in the house so you don't have any issues using any stuff. It was a wonderful experience...perfect place for a family to stay."

There was nothing to be dislike there

"The guest house AIDA is a huge villa. It has 4 different bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 3 different common living rooms. It can accommodate up to 10 people with lots of available indoor space for everyone. There is one shared pool with 2 other guest houses and lots of outdoors common spaces that you use. One of the common spaces has a very nice seating around a fire pit, the host provided us with firewood and help to light the fire. The host was very friendly and very responsive to all our questions."

The beds can be more comfortable, but they were ok for 1 night. There are no ACs in the rooms, but the weather in that area is already chilled, and they provided 4 different electric fans for all the rooms.

"Very helpful manager Mr. Bikram Lama. He helped out a lot. the evening fireplace is wonderful to keep warm. Breakfast is made-to-order and hence decent. Once you are in the property, it's a great feeling just next to the runway!!"

Location is confusing as one has to walk quite a bit from Lukla Airport. They should coordinate a porter with arriving guests. It's very cold there and room heaters must be provided for the night. Also, 24 hour hot water supply must be provided

"We absolutely loved everything about this property. Amazingly wonderful villa, Lilou our villa host was also great and very helpful. Celine the property owner had left us a welcome platter of different French cheese’s which were delish and a bottle of red and white wine along with a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread."

The property was perfect inside and out and nothing to dislike.

The facilities in the rooms need updating. The breakfast could offer more choices. After the 4th day ,it would be nice to have a change. There was limited seating in the shade for breakfast.

La route pour se rendre au mango villa est assez abrupte et nécessite un bon niveau de conduite.... mais la récompense est au bout du chemin

"The host was friendly and accommodative. She kept checking on us if we needed anything. She was grieving personal loss at the time of our stay but she found ways to tend to our needs and comfort. We will come back to her property for sure."

"Wir waren bereits zum zweiten mal in diesem Haus. Diesesmal hat uns die Sauberkeit sehr positiv überrascht. Es war sehr ordentlich, die Betten alle bezogen, alles hat gut gerochen und war sehr einladend. Hier und da etwas Dekoration war super schön und hat dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder."

"Getting to the island was a mission, the ferries go when the ferries go! Nice welcome on arrival and excellent diving. Clean and comfortable room. Lovely to be away from the internet."

Minor things, although the food tasted nice it could have been warmer and in our room it needed the gaps filling around the windows and doors to stop the mozzies.
