"The water off the beaches was quite shallow. And also had a lot sharp rocks and stones to walk on, not the best for swimming. Might be better if you're interested in snorkeling, and there are quite a few people who were going out scuba diving."

"We had a few issues during our stay. There was a problem with sargassum, the towels in our room weren't in great condition, and the bathing amenities were lacking. Also, a concierge was never available a young boy and a night shift concierge that was too slow, which made things even more inconvenient. But other than that, we loved the hotel."

"Mereva exceeded my expectations, I absolutely loved my stay here, I immediately felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Theres complimentary soft drinks, water and coconut water in the in room mini fridge and gets topped up daily. Theres also a cute little cenote about 1min walk from the hotel. If you want to explore town, do make sure you have a rental car, otherwise you could get stung for taxi ride of 450mxn each way. All in all, I would come back again."

"Absolutely loved our stay! small and cozy hotel with friendly staff who make the attention feel very personalized. Super comfortable beds, clean and spacious rooms and good food! Some things to consider before booking your stay (not cons by any means, just helpful advice) - its far from city center, you 100% need a car - beach is rocky but they have a pool on the beach so that wasnt a problem for us - if booking in “winter” time, the room with a pool on the balcony is not worth it as its always cold and does not get direct sunlight"

"The “pool” in the balcony is not a jacuzzi, does not have a tap or drain so its stagnant water. You could see the sunscreen floating from previous guests so we sadly never used it + the temperature situation explained above"
