"A localização e a envolvente. E os funcionários muito prestáveis. O Nandana, que nos recebeu e acompanhou ao longo da nossa estadia foi incansável e muito prestável. Ajudou-nos com o autocarro para Dambulla, levou-nos ao lago, usamos as bicicletas do estabelecimento gratuitamente, aconselhou-nos e arranjou-nos o Driver para o Safari, e ainda tratou de um tuk tuk para vermos o nascer do sol em Pindurangala. As refeições eram simples mas bastante boas, e ainda tivemos direito a uma aula de culinária pelo Nandana. Estes sítios tornam-se especiais pelas pessoas que lá estão e o Nandana proporcionou-nos uma experiência incrível."

"We spent a few days in spacious bungalows. We were picked up by taxi from the airport and quickly arrived at our accommodation, where Cynthia was waiting for us. Cynthia provided us with detailed information about the property (water, safety, etc.) and shared interesting facts about the area (shops, restaurants, and the beach). The bungalows have a well-equipped kitchenette and a large terrace, from which we could admire the starry sky in the evenings. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jam. The morning conversations with Cynthia during breakfast were wonderful. The guesthouse also offered free rental of easy-to-use bicycles. We have fond memories of our lazy days on the atoll, and we highly recommend this guesthouse."

The guesthouse is no longer the newest, but that's why it has its own atmosphere.

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"Located exactly on the mountain, with exceptional views. Facilities were clean, comfortable and well heated. Staff were very helpful to transfer us to the hotel when we arrived, as the car park was a bit far from the hotel. They also treated us exceptionally well, and were always ready to accommodate us with our needs. Food and drinks were also really good. All in all 10/10 stay"

"This is an incredible place. I loved the uninterrupted views of the forest from our balcony where we could see the elephants visiting the watering hole. We had elephants, an antelope and a green monkey just by our lodge. The food was good, the staff lovely. The safaris were excellent, Rakim and Hassan had good knowledge of the flora and fauna as well as being friendly and humourus. Zaina Lodge is such a beautiful and peacful place to stay. Nearly everything has been thought of. It was great to meet Jeanette the genet too, she is beautiful."

Only a few minor things - I would have liked a proper fridge in my room to store my medicine, and a warning that lizards might poo on our floor - we were quite alarmed at the little black things until we realised what they were!

"Everything was exceptional - the hospitality, the service, the setting, the food, the environment. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The safari guides were exceptionally knowledgeable - we learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of every game drive. The food was 10/10 - I am gluten free and they prepared a separate menu for me every meal time. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

Nothing - I do not have a bad word to say about Long Lee. It exceeded our expectations and more.

"The huts are amazing, great location max. 3 minutes from the slope if you stay in the furthest one. They’re clean and warm, have all the things you need to cook a pretty decent dinner for a couple of people and there’s even sponges and dish soap at the property. The huts are very warm and they stay that way during the night so you won’t be cold. The owner is great and is quick to offer whatever help you need. It’s a quiet place without many people going through and you can’t hear anything going on in the other houses. The WiFi is very good and each hut has its own router."

The towels provided are every small (basically hand towels) - that’s not bad really but it’d be nice if that information was provided. Kind of no place to put your skis and snowboards except on the small terrace - unless you’d like them in your bedroom - but that’s not a big problem.

The showerhead is located halfway through the shower cubicle which meant that a lot of water came inside the bathroom while taken a shower. The ventilator didn't operate in the bathroom which meant that a small window was left open in the bathroom for ventilation. The drawback was ingress of mosquitoes into the room/bathroom. The lighting in the room could be enhanced, often we felt that the room was too dark.

"The people who run the Lodge are absolutely lovely. We had dinner and breakfast both of which were very well cooked and tasty."

I found the bed a little uncomfortable and i would prefer 2 pillows per person. The driveway is steep...a little intimidating for us Europeans! But we had a 4 wheel drive so we were fine.

"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"Nina is a charming and caring host who gave us great tips on things to do and places to eat. The property is wonderful, the rooms spacious, comfortable and cozy and the breakfast was delicious!! We should have stayed longer!!!"
