"At first we were a bit confused that our room was in another building, a bit further away from the “main branch”, but the room was huge and the location was still very nice (close to public transportation). The owner was very lovely and they even borrowed us some umbrellas and helped us with the luggage to walk to the other building."

"One of the pillow sheets seemed to be not really clean and the shower curtain was made out of fabric and was kind of smelly. Also the toilet-seat was kind of broken, but not too bad."

"£65 per night and not even a towel included seems excessive, though towels are available for rent. At least there is toilet paper and soap. Some rooms overlook a really busy main road but horns are not used so it was Ok. The side street is quiet. hong kong is famously expensive - budget accordingly! By the way, late December 2025 - bamboo scaffolding around the building but no green netting. Hotel is only on the 3rd floor so easy to get out if needed. We felt safe."

"- Excellent location in Causeway Bay - easy to reach from airport with A11 direct bus (1 hour ride). - Close to everything (shops, restaurants, metro, tram, ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui) - Staff is kind and can speak English - Bed was clean, private (with dark curtain) with individual light and lots of electric plugs (adapter included) - Hot water and good shower pressure (complimentary soap and shampoo) but towel for rent. - Convenient eletronic key card - Small locker for backpack (bring your own padlock) but only a few. - 1 cold water bottle offered at check-in and free drinkable water dispenser. - Good and strong free wifi - Fridge, kettle, microwave available in the dorm - 2 lifts in the building, reception in on 3rd floor and my dorm room was on 2nd floor (third lift does not stop at lower floors)"

"As a group of students travelling to Hong Kong for a few days, we had a hard time finding nice but affordable accommodation. When we arrived at Timehouse Hostel, having heard of our friends' poor experiences with other local hostels, we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was simple but clean and spacious, with a very nice bathroom and all equipment we could possibly need. The location was amazing, next to a metro station on Hong Kong Island and with a direct bus route to the airport. The staff were kind and helpful, and the stay overall exceeded out expectation in the best possible sense. Great value for the price, especially in the area!"

"If you like to sleep with an open window, note there's a lot of noise from the street outside at night, although that probably applies to the entire area. Nothing that earplugs couldn't fix."
