"Located in a quiet, idyllic location near the town center, it felt like a little retreat every time we returned home. It’s a spacious house which keeps cool due to the tiling and multiple doors you can open. We didn’t need air con in September. We could close the gates so the dogs couldn’t get in, this allowed the kids to play outside. The three year old was so excited to have swings. After time in the outer islands we really needed to freshen up, so the showers and washing machine were helpful. There was good amounts of drying space, the kitchen was fully functional, and we were given our space to enjoy our holiday."

Tonga is super basic so expectations of any accomodation need to keep this in mind.

"Recepcionista muito simpática na hora do check-in, explicando todas as informações de forma clara e se mantendo solícita. O quarto é aconchegante e bem limpo, com uma cama grande, frigobar, TV smart e ar condicionado. Além disso, o ambiente do Boca Simon é bem tranquilo e fica próximo ao centro de Curaçao (5 min de carro)."

O quarto e o banheiro são bem pequenos, mas como não passamos muito tempo no local e estávamos utilizando apenas para tomar banho e dormir, não foi nada que atrapalhasse muito.

A zona da piscina é ótima e como o local é para poucos clientes há espaço para todos. Os quartos são muito bons e espaçosos. O pessoal é simpático e acolhedor."

"Wonderful to be the only guests staying in the hotel, it felt special to have a chef come in to make our meals, which were very good. We had our dog with us sge was showing in a competition on site, she was welcomed and as we were the only guests she sat in the dining room with us. She was very relaxed and the next day came 1st in her Breed. We will return for another event soon."

Perhaps the bedroom could have been warmer.

"If you're looking for a quiet place, Villa Serenity by the Water is where you need to go... and yet, it's just a throw of stone away from shops and busy places... as for the breakfast, I must say I've enjoyed the sweetest omelette ever, accompanied with a selection of fruits/yoghurt/toasts... exactly what I needed to start my next journey on the right foot !!!... apart from that, rooms are large, very well quiped and nicely decorated... making your stay real enjoyable !"

I found it a little difficult to adjust temperature in the shower as it is a sophisticated model with thermostat... but had I stayed longer, I would have asked for advice and I'm sure I would have mastered the issue !

"O espaço é muito bonito, casa antiga com muita madeira. A zona traseira pareceu-me muito harmoniosa. A casa é limpa mas, quem dirige não sabe ensinar como fazer da melhor maneira. O meu quarto era enorme e sem graça, apesar de limpo, precisa de alguém para ajudar na decoração. Não foi confortável..A dureza da cama agradou- me. Phone fez o possível e impossível para resolver situações. A ela dou 11+"

A casa de banho, foi muito mal finalizada na construção, está um trabalho péssimo. O que é pena, porque os azulejos do chão estão bem os painéis de madeira também, a mesa onde assenta o lavatório também.... têm torneiras recentes quer no chuveiro quer no lavatório, cheias de manchas porque não sabem limpar, bem limpas duram uma vida. Acho o preço excessivo, vim de um hotel com melhores condições e mais barato.

"Local muito calmo e relaxante. Pequeno almoço ótimo, com grande variedade e atendido por funcionárias muito simpáticas e disponíveis. As camas são muito confortáveis e os quartos bem isolados."

O local fica um pouco longe de Cork, mas tem uma paragem de autocarro em frente.

When booking on here, It wasn't too clear about the extra cost of breakfast and also when we arrived, the receptionist told us what time this was but then when we came down for it the next morning, said we had not booked. Needs to be clear on check in and booked then. It would have perhaps been good to have been informed about the wedding taking place when we were there.

"We absolute loved our stay at Les Hibiscus. Our room was beautiful and furnished with love. On top of that Solange was always there to help and share information. The breakfast was just delicious, you can tell that Solange loves cooking."

"We enjoyed staying at this quirky guest house. We were warmly met by the friendly owner and had plenty of space to hang out for the day we were there, waiting to catch a shuttle to Belize City. I say quirky because in our mini apartment, there was a bed in the kitchen ( as well as our bed in the bedroom), and there is an old US school bus in the garden. But it felt quirky rather than derelict. It's a 5min taxi ride to the bus terminal in town or a 20-minute walk. We chose the Taxi option. It's also close to a good bakery, and you can see the supermarket from the hammocks in the garden. There is a fabulous restaurant called Hambre which is a 20 min walk."

There was nothing we didn't like, but this place will not appeal to everyone. It feels local, and maybe a little dated, but it was spacious, safe, and clean, and everything we needed.

"Great location by the sea and near the harbour. Nice, old-fashioned interior decoration, mirroring the age of some of the buildings. Very friendly staff who let us keep our freezer packs in their freezer. We went kayaking for one night, could leave our car at their parking lot, and when we came back we could use their facilities to get a fresh water shower."
