"Cozy little town, quiet and pitoresk. Gasthaus Emmi is located central in the town, but still has a beautiful location with an open field behind. Great garden with swimmingpool, playground for kids, rabbits and hens. Breakfast very good, local products and fresh eggs. Clean rooms."

Not new interior, but original, well taken care of and clean.

"Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. "Nice size single room with private bathroom and air-com. Very central both to the old part and the main train station. There was a fridge, a kettle and chai offering and water in the room. I read reviews complaining about lighting which I found sufficient and about duvet and for me was also ok despite being August because of air-con."

The only problem I found was the toilet floor getting get after shower. I have been in some guest houses like this and they offer sandals which saves the problem.

The only bad experience was that there was no WiFi connection. I was unable to communicate with friends and family back home which made them worried and scared.

"The big windows in one room. The other room had no windows though, though this made it a lot quieter than the room with windows overlooking the car park. The woman who cooked breakfast was always so friendly and nice."

THE TOILET IS IN THE ROOM. there is room for a door, but not a door. There is no privacy. It’s overlooking a car park. It’s super noisy. No cleaning or refreshing the room during your stay. Told us the front desk closed at 5.30pm late morning of the day we were due to arrive.

When it was raining a bit water dripping inside from roof. But it’s ok bcs I think that’s drawback from the building design.

"From an airport bus stop, it was a long distance to the villa to walk along a road with a luggage! I was grateful that after a lot of struggle on my own, I contacted the owner, he met me and drove in his car to their property"

I liked the place. It was good for having a rest from busy places and enjoying the peace and beauty of a small village near the sea. It was hard to rely on public transport. If you have your car, then everything should be great

"absolutely top ', nice and kind is the owner. We were absolutely excited by breakfast - everything was fresh and homemade and we got the stories about all products which were used. We loved it and we will come with pleasure again. We can only recommended. and like a bonus, we can stay with our small dog, what was the first time in the existence of this hotel. Thank you again. "Lots of space. We were the only guests so the 2 single rooms were empty. Great location with great views from the bedroom."

"Tudo extremamente limpo, o detalhe dos tampões para os ouvidos e ser possível fazer cafezinho e chá.. o facto de ter um adaptador para a corrente elétrica (as tomadas são a inglesa) a localização é brutal. A rua é sem trânsito e está perto de tudo. Bares , restaurantes c.comercial.. Tem um parque de estacionamento a 4minutos a pé. O Cc1."

Era bom ter uma tomada a cabeçeira da cama.

"Endroit propre, calme et propice à la détente. Literie d'excellente qualité. Agréable piscine, suffisamment grande pour pouvoir nager et non seulement barboter ! Extérieur très agréable (Cuisine extérieure, plantes et magnifique vue sur le ciel étoilé !). Très bon accueil par l'hôte."

Essayer de voir avec Google Map la problématique de la direction GPS qui n'est pas la bonne... Merci à l'hôte qui, devant mon désespoir, est venu à ma rencontre ! Cette remarque ne remet nullement en cause la qualité de l'hébergement.

"The place was very comfortable and warm. We were greeted by a friendly older couple. The view from the apartment was pretty, featuring trees, mountains, and snow."

The place was clean, but it felt like there was room for improvement. Additionally, cars with low ground clearance would need to be parked approximately 100 meters away.

"Although a 30-40 minute bus ride from Chania town, Summer Lodge is a Fantastic place if you want to be away from the busy places. A peaceful and pretty hotel with a Lovely vibe...There are places nearby to get food and drink and the mostly deserted beach is just a few minutes walk away. The bus stops are close by also - So nothing was ever too much effort. The owners of the property were kind, chatty and helpful. And last but not least the two cats at the hotel were a Joy to be around !! If I get the chance to go back to Chania I would definitely stay at this hotel again !9"

Being near the main road, although handy can be a bit noisy at times but it never bothered me too much. The individual refrigerator in the room was very noisy and I did wake up to it a couple of times.
